In the early 70’s, researchers from Stanford did something called ‘The Marshmallow Test’ on a group of children looking at delayed gratification and how it potentially related to ‘life outcomes.’ Life outcomes such as SAT scores, educational attainment and BMI (body mass index). The findings were interesting, but what’s even more interesting is looking at delayed gratification vs. instant rewards in adults…enjoy!
